Welcome to Dear Past Me

Earlier this year, I decided to close The Kindred Creativity Club, but one door still felt open.

One of the projects I'd planned for KCC in 2026 was a charity anthology called Dear Past Me—a collection of letters to our younger selves, sharing the words we wish we'd heard during our hardest moments. My hope was that those letters might offer comfort, encouragement, or hope to someone walking a similar path.

Recently, I wrote a personal essay on my author blog about looking back through old journals and discovering that, despite everything I'd been through, the core of who I am had always remained the same.

The response to that essay reminded me that I'm far from alone. So many of us wish we could reach back through time and tell our younger selves the things they most needed to hear.

So I decided to bring Dear Past Me to life.

Rather than publishing a single anthology, this website will become an ever-growing collection of letters—stories of resilience, hope, healing, and self-discovery.

If there's something you wish you could tell your younger self, I'd love to invite you to share it here.

Each submission will be personally reviewed before being published on the Dear Past Me blog,

where it will be organised with categories and tags to help readers discover stories that resonate with them.

My hope is that this becomes more than a collection of letters.

I hope it becomes a place where people realise they aren't alone.
